New Hampshire: The Real Facts

It's easy to try to pick out problems in Keene, but rarely do we get an opportunity to directly share in its betterment. Dale Pregent, our new mayor, along with the Planning Department, is giving us an opportunity to have a say in what happens here.

The mere fact that you are a subscriber to this newsletter indicates that you have a concern with Keene’s future.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, it is called KEENE COMMUNITY VISIONING PROCESS 2008. The city is reaching out to any citizen that wants to participate in creating ideas for the next Keene Master Plan. The Master Plan is a road map, as it reflects what we want Keene to ultimately become. In other words, if you had the power of a King or Queen, what would you make Keene look like and be ten years from now?

People are being encouraged to participate in "conversation groups". There is nothing intimidating or formal about it – it is simple brainstorming on your doorstep with friends, neighbors, or a new acquaintance. If you want to participate – and hopefully you will – simply contact the Keene Planning Department on how to get started. Contact information is on the attached flier.
Keene is a beautiful city and you now have the opportunity to play your part in keeping it beautiful. This is your best chance to speak from your heart.
