New Hampshire: The Real Facts

Its time we end business-as-usual in Congress! Out-of-control spending, partisan bickering and gridlock on some of the most critical issues facing our country continue to reign as the status quo in Washington. Americans have very little faith in our elected officials, and the politicians just don’t seem to care.

Just over a week ago, Congress passed a 3 trillion dollar budget that included the largest tax increase in American history. Congress showed us once again that they are more interested in putting their interests ahead of our interests. And where was Paul Hodes? Where was his leadership? When did he stand-up and say 'enough is enough, my constituents can't afford this tax increase?' Sadly, he stood with the Washington politicians over the people of New Hampshire.

It is time to get America's financial house in order. Career politicians have made a mess of Washington, it’s time to give someone else a chance.

I entered this race to renew the spirit of America. I believe that government has become too big and too corrupt. We know that smaller government is good government. Working families deserve to keep more of their hard earned paychecks - that means keeping taxes low, stopping earmarks and ending wasteful government spending.

We need real immigration reform that protects America and does not reward illegal behavior.

We need to make sure that our troops get the equipment they need, and when they return home, they get the medical care they deserve.

When it comes down to it, serving in Congress is all about service. The idea of service to neighbors, service to community was at the heart of the plan originally set forth by the Founding Fathers and it is that spirit of service to community that I will help return to the United States Congress.
